Tien is a long-time advocate of sustainability, promoting social responsibility to developers, legislators and NGOs. He has spent over two decade in the building design and construction industry creating green and resilient communities. Tien currently serves on ASHRAE, ICC and USGBC committees to establish protocol for durable, healthy, and carbon-efficient infrastructure. He believes in the creation of green jobs to fuel our new climate-adaptive economy. He holds a M.Arch and B.E. in Mech Eng.
