Speaker Application - Northwest Green Building Slam+Summit

This application is designed to be completed in under 10 minutes if you have a few photos prepared! The SLAM is a NW Ecobuilding Guild showcase featuring a series of innovative and compelling stories of green building in the Pacific Northwest designed to inspire and engage listeners. Each Slam presentation is allowed 10 slides and 10 minutes. If you have multiple ideas for presentations, please submit one application for each topic.

Application Requirements

Because we want to share green building with a wider audience at Town Hall and to encourage inclusivity, this year we are waiving the Guild membership requirement. If you are a guild member and have not yet renewed for the next calendar year, we encourage you to do so here: Log in to renew. You must be logged into your account profile to access and renew your membership subscription. Contact us with membership questions. All presenters must prepare a draft of their presentation and attend an orientation on Sept 22, 2022.

July 12 – Call for Submissions
Sept 7 - 5:00pm - Submissions are DUE
Sep 12-13 – Submissions reviewed by Jury
By Sept 16 – Selections finalized/Submitters notified of standing/Final selection publicly announced
Sept 29, 5-8 pm - MANDATORY Virtual Orientation (some preparation needed)
Oct 21 - Final Presentation slides due - no exceptions
Oct 29 - Slam main event

You answer here will not be published but will be considered by the Jury. We encourage you to include SJ considerations in your published summary. Lack of this component may exclude projects, as it has been an important consideration for the Jury in the past.
